Hopefully Photodex can help!Īlso, you might try converting that MPG into MOV (if you have QT installed) or MWV or AVI (uncompressed) if you have to. and doesn't differentiate any flavor as being bad. maybe they can tell you why specifically the MPG type you're trying to use isn't recognized. If you don't upgrade, I'd contact Photodex for assistance. Version 4 can import MP4 files as long as the appropriate codec is installed. However, MPG4 of any variety isn't supported (even if it has MPG as format extension) as far as I can tell. beats me! If it's a straight MPG2 file, PSP should play it fine. In ver4 tho you'd just add the adjustment layer (probably set to alpha (transparency)) over the image(s) you want to become blurred and with your keyframes you would adjust from non-blurred to the amount of blur you need/want. Then you'll fade one into the other using the transition keyframe(s) for layer (which you'll position according to the timing you need to have for the slide and/or layer(s). Basically you'll put your image/video over the one that's not blurred. You'll need to use keyframes to do it (that's the easiest way). Basically you can apply a gaussian blur at some level (it's NOT the only way to create a blurry/out-of-focus image tho!). There are a number of different options for creating your blurry version. In this case, you'd take the associated file and create a blurred version. If you don't have PSP then you'll have to work with a photo editor program (in the case of video you'll need a video editor). either directly or using an adjustment layer (that is, you can use it for stills and/or video). It's something you can do for any layer then. First off, what version of PSP are you working with? If it's ver 4 the blur option is available and makes your solution an all PSP exercise.
